I had the incredible honor of being part of the Keune Global Passport Hair Show in Charleston, a world-class event that brings together top hairstylists from all over the globe. The energy was electric, and I was beyond excited to lead the styling team responsible for curating looks that complemented the avant-garde hair creations showcased on stage.

The 5 lead hairstylists for Keune sent me mood boards full of edgy runway looks to pair with their innovative hairstyles that they would be creating. They pushed the boundaries of hair artistry and created looks live on stage. My goal as the stylist was to ensure that each outfit elevated the hair, making sure the fashion told a cohesive story with the daring styles on stage.

Collaborating with Keune’s creative team was such a pleasurable experience. Luke Benson, Boris Obreski , Peyton Muurder, Jessica Bartolucci and Latoya Velberg had very distinct styles that had to match the wardrobe. I worked closely with my incredible style squad Keiko, Edie, Anna, and Joquetta to create show stopping looks that graced the runways. The show wouldn’t be complete without the the fabulous makeup by the Silhouette on Site team.

Once the vision was set, it was time to bring everything to life on the models. In the fast-paced environment backstage, it was all about quick changes, perfecting details, and ensuring that everything flowed seamlessly for the runway. Watching each model transform from the fitting room to the stage was nothing short of magical.

As the models hit the runway, with their hair sculpted to perfection by the Keune artists, the atmosphere was filled with excitement. The energy in the room was palpable, and I couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride seeing the final looks in motion, paired with the stunning hairstyles.

From textured fabrics to sleek accessories, every piece came together to highlight the hair creations while maintaining a balance of elegance and edge. The evening was a perfect fusion of fashion and hair artistry, and it was a privilege to be part of such a dynamic, creative production.

Shopping for an event like this was a beast of a job. I ordered the bulk from online stores but luckily I had my secret weapon here in Charleston. Tapping into local designers like Keiko Striplin, Brooke Wilder, and Morgan Kimberly really elevated the looks.

Styling the Keune Global Passport Hair Show was an incredible experience that challenged me to think outside the box and bring a unique flair to each look. Working with such a talented team of hairstylists, models, and creatives was truly inspiring. I am so grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this global event, and I can’t wait for more opportunities to collaborate on groundbreaking projects like this in the future.

My team brought their own unique flair, and together we created something truly special. Swift decisions, professionalism, passion, and teamwork made this experience not only successful but also so much fun.
