Love Lilla P
Lilla P Clothing Brand – I had the pleasure of meeting the designer of Lilla P, Pauline Nakios a few years ago at one of her trunk shows in Charleston and immediately fell in love with her and her brand. I had seen her super soft tees and Origami Wrap that you can wear in several ways in numerous Charleston shops and heard that Pauline was from Charleston, so I was happy to finally meet the face behind the brand.
Her effortlessly chic line of essential wardrobe pieces is comprised of clothing that will live in your wardrobe for years to come. For over 20 years Lilla P has offered staples that never compromise on style and quality. I love following Pauline on her personal Instagram when she sources her fabrics and visits her factories overseas. In our day of fast fashion, it’s reassuring to know that her products are ethically made. It’s also impressive to see that she’s still an active part of the process from design, to manufacturing, merchandising, to her retail customers.
Lilla P has never lost their roots representing a casual cool aesthetic that could easily translate from the quaint streets of Charleston to the big city blocks of NYC. I was lucky enough to visit their showroom in New York on West 14th Street with their boutique conveniently placed downstairs. As a designer, it truly is an advantage to be able to interact with customers in real-time to know their needs and wants. Pauline is on the pulse of what’s relevant in fashion and culture and intuitively applies it to Lilla P.
I’m very excited to feature Pauline Nakios and highlights of her Lilla P Holiday Collection on Lowcountry Live December 6th. Tune in to see how the collection can be worn not just from day to night, but crossing over generations. We’ll be featuring Pauline’s mother and niece on the show in chic holidays looks. In addition, we’ll be partnering up with local brands on a big giveaway! Tune and follow my instagram because one lucky person could snag gifts from Lilla P, Charleston Shoe Co., Holst and Lee, Taxidermy, Candlefish, and Rewined Candles.
Here’s a preview of what I’ll be wearing on Lowcountry Live next week. I could seriously sleep in this Velvet V-neck dress because it’s ridiculously soft and has the perfect amount of stretch. Fabric is so important to me and it has to feel good for me to wear it and love it. It’s also the perfect transitional piece because you can pair it with sneakers, boots, or heels.
So just remember how important it is to shop local and small this season. Let’s support those businesses that are making a positive impact in their community and the world. I know you’ll love Lilla P Clothing Brand.
