Freshfields Finds for the Holidays
It’s hard to believe that the holidays are just around the corner, which means we have to start thinking about Christmas gifts already. If you think it’s too early to think about those gifts, don’t forget about those hostess gifts for Thanksgiving or holiday parties. I did some legwork for you guys and have some Freshfields Village finds for Christmas gift ideas that will surely be a hit whether they’re into beauty, food, or home.
Palmetto Scent Studio has seasonal scented candles, reed diffusers, room sprays, body creams, sugar scrubs, soaps, body wash, body sprays, roll on fragrances and even hand sanitizers. They have over 120 candles to choose from or you can create your own custom scent for all of those products. They also have a nice variety of vessels to hold your custom candle in like this rose gold pineapple. It’s such a fun place for a group activity with friends or family. Me and my boys have done a candle making session and we loved coming up with our own creations. They strongly encourage reservations for guests who want to pour a custom-scented candle, home, or body product, so book your session before the holiday madness.
Bluemercury is stock full of every beauty and skincare brand that is hot in the market. Their own line Lune + Aster has some great gift sets that are perfect stocking stuffers. They make everything from lip glosses, to eye shadow, to face masks.
I love that they carry Maya Chia which is an organic skincare line that’s made locally. Their products are magic! It’s an award-winning clean beauty brand known for its high-performance, cutting-edge, and super food formulations because they use real chia seeds. I also love the Sugar brand for yummy scented products.
Bluemercury also has a candle section of the most sought out brands like Nest Candles. Their holiday scents are heavenly and come in the prettiest packaging. A Freshfields Bluemercury Holiday Party will be held 11/29-12/08. As part of the festivities, Bluemercury shoppers can receive personalized present advice from their Beauty Experts, take advantage of product savings up to 20% off and get their nine-piece Holiday Treasures Bag as a gift with any purchase of $175 or more.
Doin’ The Charleston is a gourmet gift shop filled with edible gifts, recipe books, and kitchen accessories. They carry a lot of Charleston made goodies like everything in this basket which can be custom made. Whether you want to send a little bit of Charleston to someone or enjoy something for yourself and your Charleston people, this store has so many great things to choose from.
Athleisure is pretty much most of our uniform these days. Why not be comfy in your stretchy pants while look put together? I swung by Lululemon at Freshfields with Gus and found a couple of outfits we could live in. He’s a huge fan of their 4 way stretch pants that can be work appropriate and relaxed enough for the weekend. For women they always have workout gear that has subtle fashion forward details. You know when you buy a pair of Lululemon leggings they will last you forever so it’s worth the investment.
Freshfields Village is hosting their next Sidewalk Saturday on November 21st and it will also be in conjunction with Cars & Coffee. Admire all the vintage cars while you sip on coffee and shop special promotions at select stores. So many participating stores!
They’ll have fun events outside Thanksgiving weekend starting with Friday, November 27 – Steel Drum Performers (12-3 pm) on the Village Green, Saturday, November 28 – Steel Drum Performers (3-7 pm) at the Lakeside Dock, and Sunday, November 29 – Charleston Caroling Company (11am-1pm) throughout the Village.
Their Letters to Santa Campaign will kickoff on Monday, November 23rd. Kids can deliver their letters to Santa via a North Pole mailbox near their Christmas Trees on the Village Green. Kids who include their return address will receive a special message and treat from Santa. Plus, for every letter Santa receives, Freshfields Village will donate $5 to a local non-profit organization. Check out their website for more info!
Even though the holidays might look different this year, we’re lucky we live in a easy climate where we can enjoy all of these outdoor activities and find creative ways to celebrate the next 2 months.
