Curator Covets: Julianne Taylor

In the November issue of Skirt Magazine I had the pleasure of interviewing my friend and this edition of ‘Curator Covets’ Julianne Taylor and share her ever evolving creative empire. I’ve had the honor to get to know Julianne Taylor over the past couple of years and really peel back the many layers of her creative explorations and limitless talents.  Her glam and retro, Hollywood Regency inspired furniture for Taylor Burke Home is what first drew me in to the world of Julianne Taylor.  Her signature style mixes vibrant colors and patterns to create an exuberant aesthetic which also represents her personality and alter ego JuJu.  Her creative journey began living in multiple countries all over the world developing her interior design career.  Her scope of her design work encompasses everything from furniture, wallpaper, fabric, home accessories, art, candles, and loungewear.  My powder room is decked out with her lilac printed wallpaper inspired by African wax prints from her trip to Togo with Francis and Benedict.  Recently she has seamlessly crossed over as an influencer and designs events for brands that she works with.  Julianne loves empowering other women by promoting women-run businesses and showcases it in her book DesignHer.  With a calm demeanor she also serves as a mentor and business coach by sharing her wealth of wisdom and strategy.  As she builds her ever growing empire she still finds the time to be a loving wife, mother of 3, and friend, and she does it all without breaking a sweat.
