Locke was a former contributing editor at Town and Country magazine for six years and holds a degree in gemology. She is a passionate horse lover and works closely with Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation, a leading non-profit that funds research to allow horses of all breeds to live healthier lives.

Her world travels have continuously inspired her designs and the search for the perfect piece of history to incorporate into her designs has taken Elizabeth flying around the globe to European markets, antique shows and auctions.
