Build a Better Capsule Wardrobe
As a stylist creating a capsule wardrobe for my clients or editing the perfect pieces to be included in a photo shoot is key. “Decision Fatigue” is a very real thing and thankfully I work very closely with a brand that solves this problem. Morph Clothing offers their Capsule Dress which can be worn over 60 different ways and still counting. This incredible dress can be turned into a top and skirt and is size inclusive and seasonless. Why have a dozen of mediocre pieces in your wardrobe when you can have one dress that can serve the purpose of many. Let’s learn how to build a capsule wardrobe
The Capsule Wardrobe is a term coined by Susie Faux, the owner of a London boutique called “Wardrobe” in the 1970s. According to Faux, a capsule wardrobe is a collection of a few essential items of clothing that do not go out of fashion, such as skirts, trousers, and coats, which can then be incorporated with seasonal pieces. The term refers to a collection of clothing that is composed of interchangeable items only, to maximise the number of outfits that can be created. The goal is to have an outfit suitable for any occasion without owning excessive items of clothing.
I always love styling these Morph Clothing shoots and for this one I wanted to really show the versatility of the dress by styling it with different pieces of clothing. Whether you pair it with leggings, a top, or a suit, the dress changes as quickly as your mood.
The Morph Clothing Modal Capsule Dress is made out of a bamboo blend so it doesn’t fade, stretch out and can be easily cleaned by throwing it in the washing machine. This fabric can be seamlessly doubled up and draped to be worn as a top without looking thick and bulky.
The ways you can style the Morph Clothing Capsule Dress has now been elevated with these Dress Rings that can be worn several different ways. The halter, belt, and bandeau are some of my favorite ways to wear it.
Now is your time to scoop up a Morph Clothing Capsule Dress and Nomad Wrap. They’re having their Black Friday Sale early with $50 off Capsule Dresses and Nomad Wraps, and 20% off other items site wide. Use code MORPH50 at checkout.
Cristy Pratt the designer is a total boss babe. Not only is she a creative genius, but she such a supporter of women owned businesses. She’s always there to cheer people on and motivate them to be the best version of themselves. Confidence comes from within and when you feel good, you look good.
Every Wednesday in November I’m teaming up with Cristy for our Facebook and Instagram Live events on how to wear the Capsule Dress. Yesterday I showed how you can incorporate it in your existing wardrobe. We love interacting with people from all over the world answering questions. We had people from Spain, Jamaica, UK, Prague, Australia, Bulgaria, Pakistan, and Hungary tune in. Tune in next Wednesday at 1pm eastern time because we’ll have a curvy model showing all the flattering ways to wear it.
This is my other favorite way to style the Dress Rings. If you want check out more ways to MORPH and style the dress you have to check out their YouTube channel.
The size inclusivity of the Morph Clothing Capsule Dress is what makes this stand out. The sizing doesn’t go by your typical dress size, it’s determined by your bust size. If you’re a size 14 you could be a medium. Fran wears these flattering styles that shows off her curves and keeps her looking confident.
