At Home With Seawah Furniture

Last week I took a drive out to my favorite area in the Lowcountry, Kiawah. I’m still working on adding some finishing pieces to my house and I wanted to visit a new furniture store called Seawah. Located at 3714 Betsy Kerrison Parkway (right before Freshfields Village), the drive from James Island is always picturesque and relaxing. Located next to a Ace Hardware and home decor stores, this is the place to visit for all your home improvement needs if you’re in the Johns Island, Kiawah, and Seabrook area.

Locally owned and operated, Seawah Furniture carries affordable custom furniture to fit any lifestyle. If you want beautiful, durable, stain-resistant furniture, check out Seawah’s wide selection of sofas, love seats, and chairs. All of their products feature worry-free Sunbrella Performance Fabric and are built by Capris Furniture, which will stay beautiful even years down the road. DIY furniture allows you to select everything from fabric to cushion and arm styles all the way down to wood finish.  Their design consultants can help guide you to custom designer look at any budget.

They also carry a wide variety of art and accessories along with any variation of outdoor furniture. Whether you’re looking for Adirondack chairs in every color imaginable or complete lounge sets with cushions, they have so much to choose from. If you don’t see the perfect combo in the store they can order anything for you. Most of us are spending more time at home and entertaining, so investing in outdoor furniture is something you won’t regret.

Seawah Furniture showcases over 3,500 Sunbrella fabric combinations, the largest selection in the Carolinas (many exclusive). Sunbrella fabric is not just for outdoors, it’s perfect for every room in your home. Red wine, pets and kids are no match for its durability and stain resistance. Beautiful and colorfast, the fibers are saturated with highly stable UV pigments – the color is throughout. Traditional dyes only add color to the fiber exterior.  UV Resistant and fade resistant, they are unmatched in resistance to fading and the degrading effects of sunlight.

I had to do the wine test and see how easily it could be cleaned up. I used a spray cleaning solution, but any mild soap cleans most common stains. I was so impressed on how easy and quick it was to clean up. Using bleach or solvents for tough stains will not harm Sunbrella fabric – but don’t try this on other fabrics. It’s durable and guaranteed with a 5-year limited warranty. For more information visit www.sunbrella.com/warranty. Check out some entertaining videos on how easy it is to clean up. If you have kids and pets like me this is a miracle fabric!

Mackenzie is one of the in house design consultants at Seawah Furniture. They are all so helpful and knowledgeable about all of the fabrics and furnishings that they offer. They also have access to other furniture and accessories that aren’t in stock in the store. I sent her pictures of my house and she knew exactly what style would suit me the best.
