Erika Pena

Meet Erika Pena, Bali designer – I’m wearing a multi-wear dress from my dear friend Erika Pena, a Bali-based designer who designs the most beautiful creations. She is one of my earliest friends in my fashion journey and I’m so proud to see her pursue her dreams of building a global fashion brand. We went to fashion school together in Miami and then she moved to NYC to continue her education in fashion design at Parsons. She is the most creative person in the room brimming with ideas. Her vision has always been a world where we bond through a mutual love of one another through fashion and culture. Her Dominican and Puerto Rican roots influence the sexy, vibrant vibe in her resort wear.

Her accessories and clothing have been featured in countless magazines like Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, VOGUE, InStyle, ELLE, and New York Times. She even designed a pair of Obama hoop earrings that Beyonce wore back in 2012.

Her journey eventually took her to Bali where she sought out production resources to expand her jewelry line. It was there that she planted her roots and opened up 3 stores. She continues to sell wholesale to stores all over the world and still keeps her staff employed even during Covid closures in Bali.

Her clothing makes you feel like a gypsy dancing queen and the hand-dyed cotton is perfect for balmy summer days. This Rumba Dress can be worn in several ways andv even be turned into a skirt! I’m a sucker for versatile clothing that you can change looks instantly.

Her jewelry is bold and beautiful. These Luna earrings make a powerful statement and pair perfectly with her feminine dresses.

Yes, this is the same dress, but worn as a skirt!

Even though so many people are experiencing tough times right now, remember to shop small when and if you can. I’m so proud to see Erika Pena build a business that helps bring money back into the local Bali economy and employs so many people to create a sustainable lifestyle for the locals.
