Spoil Your Sweetheart
I recently visited Mt. Pleasant Towne Centre to explore all the new openings and scout for some Valentine’s Day gifts. If you haven’t been there in the past few months then you’ll be pleasantly surprised at all the businesses that have popped up. Big beauty retailers such as Blue Mercury and Lush, and locally owned boutique Beau & Ro and Savi Cucina + Wine Bar are elevating the Mt. Pleasant shopping center.
The lifestyle shop Beau & Ro by Sara Rossi is cheerfully bright and stunning. The well curated mix of globally made goods and resort worthy dresses make you feel like you’ve travelled the world without leaving your hometown. Sara’s collection of handmade goods range from raffia bags and earrings made in Columbia to shoes made in Morocco. Her rainbow collection of handbags make it so hard to choose which one you need in your closet.
You can find everything from clothing, jewelry, hair accessories, candles, and coffee table books. Be sure to check out their calendar of events here including a Galentines party on Saturday, February 8 – 11AM – 3PM. Enjoy sweet treats and drinks while you shop some their favorite female owned brands including Beautycounter, HOLST + LEE, Candy Shop Vintage & Lina Rosa Jewelry. Plus, enjoy complimentary hand-painted bag personalization by Hatchcove Designs. Visit them at 1242 Belk Drive, Suite 101.
If you been to the movies at Towne Centre then I’m sure you’ve stopped by Sweet Julep’s beforehand to stock up on treats. In true southern fashion they make pralines and fudge and the smell when you walk in the shop is intoxicating. They also stock every candy you can imagine and their homemade chocolates are delectable. For those of you who are watching those lb’s they also offer sugar free chocolates as well. If you really want to impress your Valentine’s this year skip those grocery store bought box of chocolates and opt for a handpicked assortment of chocolate truffles like these at Sweet Julep’s 1321 Theater Dr, Mt Pleasant, SC.
If you’ve never been to a Lush before then you must visit them at Mt. Pleasant Towne Centre conveniently located just down the road from Sweet Julep’s. The ethically made, vegetarian handmade collection of bath products and skincare are unique and make the perfect gift to spoil your Valentine’s. You can find everything from unicorn horn shaped bath bombs to beautifully made soaps with real flower petals in it. Visit them at 1312 Theater Dr, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464.
You can find sophistication and saveur at Savi Cucina + Wine Bar. The newly renovated space is gorgeous with navy blue banquets and bar with accents of gold. I seriously wanted to move into this space and if I could redecorate my home again it would look exactly like Savi. The husband and wife team have an impeccable eye for detail and saw a need for an upscale yet attainable Italian restaurant with a wine bar in Mt. Pleasant.
They offer a private “Sommelier Guided Wine Tasting” in the SAVI Wine Bar which includes your choice of a charcuterie board or dessert trio (to be paired with the wines). So you can either come into the wine bar before dinner (charcuterie board pairing) or after dinner (dessert trio pairing) and it’s valued at only $50.
Whether you’re a meat lover, seafood lover or vegetarian there’s something on the menu for everyone. I had to order the Oysters Rockefeller and Luigine Con Vongole while my partner in crime Libby Williams of Plate South sampled the Bolognese and Orecchiette. I can’t wait to come back for a date night with the hubby and explore the menu more. They’re open for dinner and brunch on the weekends and you can visit them at 1324 Theater Drive,
Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.
So make your plans to stay a few hours next time you go to Mt. Pleasant Towne Centre because there’s so much to discover. Stay tuned for my Instagram giveaway on Monday February 10th including earrings by Beau & Ro, a 24 count box of chocolate truffles from Sweet Julep’s, an assortment of goodies from Lush, and a private “Sommelier Guided Wine Tasting” at Savi Cucina + Wine Bar.
